Kirk Cameron & America’s Libraries

Drag Time Story Hour has [seemingly] taken the world by storm.

First, a question or two.

Like how, exactly, did this happen?

When such a statistically minor [heretofore considered more a ‘fringe’ element of society than anything else] seems to, almost overnight, take control of the public discourse to offer such a questionable idea as to hold extremely oversexed shows in, of all places, public libraries to an audience of, of all things, small children and tweens, and it happens all at once and worldwide — it begs the question, WHO did this and WHY?

Even fans of the ‘drag queen genre’ are complaining that it’s not something to which children should be exposed.

Indeed, it appears that it aligns with the new ‘wokeness’ offered up by proponents of things outside the realm of ‘Christian’ and even ‘orthodoxy’.

Whatever the actual intent of those who fostered the adoption of this method into public libraries throughout the world, it is clear to most [including many transgenders critical of the movement] that it has deteriorated into something virtually unrecognizable as ‘learning’ and, instead, seems dedicated to bringing ‘shock-based’ exposure to children not old enough to comprehend what they’re seeing — or even why they’re seeing it.

Just the flummoxed expressions some of the children ‘taken’ to these ‘events’ speak for themselves.

It is ‘entertaining’ somehow, by some, to see children aghast at some adult-oriented spectacle before them?

In spite of the complaints of people of nearly all ‘woke’ countries and cultures, the trend continues to do more to validate the suspicions and ill feeling towards those claiming to be ‘trans'[gendered] and those who see the trend as a threat to the mental and physical well-being of children of virtually all ages.

Kirk Cameron, well known for his family-oriented and ‘Christian’ approach to all things ‘worldly’ has launched an alternative method to bring literacy oriented themes to library events — and challenging those who attempt to silence his alternate point of view.

When is ‘inclusive’ — that’s not ‘inclusive’ and respectful of all — acceptable to anyone?

Proponents of ‘gender bending’ and ‘pro-trans’ rhetoric — including parents — would do well to educate themselves on the statistical ‘success’ rates of surgical interventions touted as ‘gender affirming’ [which are, actually, dismal] and then listen to the shocking revelations concerning the correlations between puberty and brain development. This is not a process that should be intentionally circumvented in an attempt to be ‘trendy’ or ‘cool’ — by children or their parents.

Parents, though, are expected to have some level of discernment when it comes to the well-being of their offspring and will, hopefully, avoid actions and activities that are likely to cause their children to remain children for the duration of their lives.

The sudden ‘popularity’ of ‘switching genders’ is a prescription for disaster and is generally accompanied by a superficial view of an issue being driven by a myriad of outside forces, not the least of which a limited worldview borne of the lack of skillsets and brain functions that allow one — among other things — to assess risk.

Today, children of all ages find themselves grappling against an ever escalating and excessively demanding [Internet driven] world in which they’re searching simply for what all people are designed to desire: confirmation and acceptance.

Providing them these affirmations and allowing them the time to grow and bloom into the well-informed and conscientious adults societies need them to become does begin in childhood — but it was never meant to end there.
