The Importance of Christian Meditation
No one — not ever, not any place on earth — has the right to predetermine the value of a human being: not at the beginning of their lives, not in the middle and not at the end.
Probably the single most difficult aspect of living through these ‘end times’ is finding peace in the midst of the storm.
After all, everything we have known — past, present and future — is ‘on the line’ and unlikely to survive in any recognizable capacity. Scriptural warnings are clear: for many, there won’t be a hiding place. The sheer shock of having leaders and politicians openly condemning the number of people on the planet — and positing that approximately 90% are essentially obsolete and, therefore expendable is enough to drive people to depression and worse.
What is the answer?
First, that we, as Christians, don’t accept and believe the rhetoric put forth by those who think their positions in the world — with wealth as the primary ‘deciding’ factor — should supersede the value of any human being, past, present or future.
It is this erroneously fashioned value system that is leading entire countries to accept such things as the aborting of Down Syndrome children — children that have more angelic qualities about them than any other single group of people on Earth. To rationalize the destruction of people who have become unable to communicate leading others to assume brain death in individuals who are very much alive and aware.
Rather than to focus on making decisions for and about others, Christians should spend time enhancing their own abilities and attributes by concentrating their efforts on Christian growth and potential. Among the tools for doing this is Christian meditation.
